​Dr Abbie Maroño is a scientist & practitioner of human behaviour who currently consults to the Secret Service. The US Department of State has recognised her extraordinary achievements, placing her in the top 1% of her field. Abbie completed a PhD in Psychology and became a Professor of Psychology at 23. A guest in Season 3, Episode 316, Abbie spoke in depth about trust. Her new book 'Work in Progress' delves into the science of shame and empowerment. Many books on empowerment are well-intentioned but overlook the science behind the experience of shame, how we reconcile self-perception and our surroundings, and how we achieve empowerment. We discuss Abbie's research, data, literature, and her journey with shame.
